Has been employed in the Chariho Regional School District for the past 29 years. The first 15 years he has been employed by Chariho as a middle school physical education/health teacher and throughout those years has held head coaching positions at the high school level in boys’ soccer, basketball, and girls’ fast pitch softball. For the last 14 years has worked for the district as a middle school dean of students. Primarily his job requires that he share in the development of the school behavior code as well as enforce it. Also, his responsibilities revolve around the issues of school safety, ranging from emergency procedures to unsafe choices made by students.

Charitable Work

Worked with Community 2000, a non-profit organization to establish an annual golf tournament to raise funds for the Chariho Community Educational Projects. As the director of planning for this golf tournament, he has worked on soliciting donations to organizing and running the tournament for the past 4 years. The tournaments raised 23K, 25K, and 30K respectively for the CCEP.

Sal’s knowledge of fundraising, his collaboration with other professionals involved in educating and servicing special needs children, and his general experience working with all students and their parents will be a valuable asset to the success of The Fairway Foundation.
